'Revolution': inline grotesque / Futura variant?

Androo Grotesque's picture

This font reminds me of an old Formula 1 racecar film. It looks a bit like Futura, with a sliver in the middle.

Can anyone ID this font or suggest something similar?

No, its not Futura licht. It should be closed at the ends of the letters.

Bleisetzer, do you mean Futura "light"? Or is there some variant called "licht"?

I tried putting Futura Light on top of Bold, but it doesn't work...

The top text seems to be FF Schulbuch Sued / AG Schoolbook with an alternate 'I', similar to the font the Design Museum uses. Maybe that could provide a clue?

I would have said modified (cut-off tips) Neutra2 Display Inline, but the leg placement of the R doesn't match up in my eyes
thats not too far from it?

The letters in the sample look more geometric to me than Neutraface. That 'O' looks pretty much like a perfect circle.

Neutraface is very similar (like Lex said, with cut off tips). Perhaps this is a custom?

I'll have to look up FF Schulbuch Sued / AG Schoolbook...

Out of the box, Dessau Plakat or GAU Exposition are a bit similar.

Thanks Florian. Those are both great options!
