Jamie Cullum Twentysomething i know i slaughtered his last name but his music is doing my heart good this week. love that version of radiohead's "high and dry"
Zara, now that I'm home and have a series of free moments, I'm listening to the shitkatapult site. It's great! I like the playlist feature quite a bit. I'm going to hook that up at work, too.
Oh, and listen to anything Zara posts here. You can't go wrong.
___ XTC? I grew up on that stuff (the music). The album from that era that I keep going back to is Big Audio Dynamite's self titled album though because it ages well - kinda like cheese.
I guess I was only thinking of Big Audio Dynamite because there are lots of similarities to The Streets. Both have unapologetically thick British accents and have a way of crossing genres that is refreshing... (hip hop meets I don't know what). BAD II: The Globe is one of my fave albums of all time. (In a lot of ways The Globe was a post-punk reaction to hip hop - but that's where the comparison to The Streets ends.)

This being said (thanks joe!), might I advise you all start listening to this band: Apostle of Hustle. They spawned from Toronto's acclaimed Broken Social Scene, you really can't go wrong.

Chris,
Spend some quality time with Apparat (on shitkatapult), he is the main reason I listen so often.
