Hey there, does anybody know what font was used by Dymo for their original embosser label makers from the 60s and 70s? it is none of the obvious typefaces. Thanks.
Thanks for the help. I am not looking for a label looking font but what the machines used as letters. I want to update my font “Impact Label” to include some extra glyphs (@ # $ etc.) and want to keep it in the correct face if I can. I may have to just make up my own.

Something Euro-stylish. Computer fonts were not en vogue in the 1960s. But there are a few fonts now that try to look like those Dymo tapes.

Don't know which typeface was used originally, but Dummytapes is a decent approximation of the finished product.
