Looking for a font similar to this... 60's / 70's Utilitarian / Cold War
Hi there,
I'm looking for a font that is similar to this one: http://twitpic.com/19kohb
This would have been fine but the 'S' has been really lazily executed, so I refuse to use it as it would bug the hell out of me. Any suggestions would be welcome.
Thanks!

Isn't the real original 19th century lettering which was digitized later?

The original was called Baby Fat and was designed by Milton Glaser. I'm not sure exactly what year, but I think it was around 1970. There were several variations of the shading. Photo-Lettering carried it and credited Glaser. Buxom was probably an unauthorized film font version. The pages on MyFonts for Buxom all credit "FotoStar".

Milton Glaser in 1964
Robert Trogman originally(?) designed Buxom for Fotostar in 1975

1964 is earlier than I thought, but I don't doubt it. Trogman shows up here from time to time.
