Sadly enough, it seems pretty hard to find decent information, details and / or listings of his work..

Hey Rian, nice to see you hanging about...
I have a couple of Fonderie Olive specimen books with a bunch of Excoffon designs. I could probably scan a post portions of them if you'd like.

Rian, some print stuff:
1) S Carter's "20th Century Type Designers" has a page of his fonts.
2) Issue #12-OldSeries of Herbert Spencer's Typographica has a killer article on Mistral, including highly varied initial sketches that contain many ideas for many unreleased fonts.
