Trying to identify the type used for "Book of Majors." Sure it's something simple, but I just can't place it.

I'd say Serifa, Bold:

(A bunch of vendors offer it; I'm not sure if there are any differences, or what they are. The Bitstream version was the first one to come up at Myfonts, and seems like a pretty perfect match. FWIW)
