NY Times 10th Annual Year in Ideas

The typeface looks a bit like Univers Condensed but I don't think I've ever seen a C like this. Any idea what typeface this is?

Though the not-condensed font is Theinhardt...

Maybe a custom font loosely based on Akzidenz Grotesk Medium Condensed?
The squareness and the tail of the /R/ suggest so
