Type ID -- Syngenta Logo

Hey all,

Here for a type identification challenge!

Anyone know which typeface is used in Syngenta's logo?

Thanks in advance!

It appears to have been cobbled together from at least three different typefaces: the s and g don't belong with the other letters, which look suspiciously like Arial with a stroke added...

I wonder if the "s" and "a" are intentionally heavier to bookend the logo. But yeah, that's my thought too. Frankenstein's monster.

;-) This is what happens when clients refuse to supply graphic designers with their real logo: they recreate them as good or bad as

  • they can
  • they want
  • time allows
