It occurred to me...

... that the surname Phinney sounds too much like 'pinny' and I need brain bleach to get rid of the image.

Té, I always wanted to ask what you are carrying in the little picture under your name, presuming it is you. It looks like a rather alarming homemade puppet.

It's a windbreaker. The original image was shot after a day of tree-planting.

Yet another thing that occurred to is that fanfiction sites' typography ranges from indifferent to 'let's not ever speak of it'.

Evidently you've never heard of Twitter...

Té Rowan's picture

I don't do Twitter. Period. Facebook only, and that's because it's my clan's hang-out.

Because although a picture is worth a thousand words, they're really just the same twelve words over and over again.

That's probably the most profound thing I've ever seen.

... that Adobe must be a Dark Arts user, since the Flash Player update checker knows that there is an update well before the machine has connected to the outside world.

I've wondered about that myself, but eschewing belief in the supernatural, I figured that the Flash Player checker had found out about an update being available the last time I had my computer on, but Adobe decided that messages to update one's copy of Flash are less likely to be ignored if they are presented when a computer is first booting up, rather than later on when one has already started doing work.

So it just declines to tell you about an update being available until later - and that later is often before the computer has again connected to the outside world.

That's what I think, too, but the other has more gigglesworth.
