Digi-Grotesk S is the “first digital typeface” according to Paul Shaw. Marconi is the "first original typeface to be produced with the Ikarus computer-aided design and digitization system".

Digi-Grotesk S may have been the first digital typeface, but computerized typesetting predates it by a couple of decades...
