Hand Lettering Book Recommendations
So i've gotten pretty good at setting type and modifying existing faces.. i mean, i'm at least confident in my skills up to where i'm at, but i really feel like to push my skills i really need to explore hand lettering further.. can anyone recommend any books on hand lettering, sign painting, or calligraphy? i could use some jumping off points to do my own work, as well as some good reference material.
ready to spend some money on amazon.com tonight!
thanks in advance.

I have 'Lettering Tips' by Bill Gray and 'Creative Lettering today' by Michael Harvey... both are excellent.

Ben -
You might want to check out some of these books from a signage industry website:

You'll find some additional selections at the site of Signcraft Magazine:

The site of the American Sign Museum also offers a great deal of information and a few book recommendations:

Oh and all those old lettering book covers made me start scouring Ebay for old lettering books (although I'm sure you could find them other places as well) I just purchased this beauty and another vintage speedball book.
