I think the serif is H&FJ Mercury. Guessed the sans was Ideal Sans from the same foundry, but it doesn't match. What do you think?

Mercury Display seems correct to me for serif.
For the sans you can try Whitney (Bold)

They're hoping some of the Obama/Gotham magic will rub off on Mitt if they use fonts from H&FJ too.

Thanks... I knew that "A" looked familiar.
Funny, at the bottom the first suggestion is "Whitney with Mercury."
I think they look good together in the top treatment (with mercury small caps), not so much on the bottom.
