The top typeface is Avenir. Please ID the bottom typeface from a 1930s postcard.
Not a match, but DIN Neuzeit Grotesk is closer than Avenir. http://new.myfonts.com/fonts/adobe/din-neuzeit-grotesk/
Not all characters are the same but here is a sample of a similar I've been trying to pin down.
Nobel (http://new.myfonts.com/fonts/fontbureau/fb-nobel/) is in the ballpark too.
Should be Vogue from Intertype 1929. Look at the G and Q Infos in this thread

Thanks very much, Alexandre. Do you know whether Intertype Vogue as seen in your sample is currently available from anyone? It sounds from the other Typophile thread that maybe it isn't.
