New to Typophile? Accounts are free, and easy to set up.
I am currently doing a project in which I hope to use Victorian typefaces or typefaces based on the style of that particular era. Would anyone be able to recommend any nice or convincing typefaces which I could use?

Nowhere near free, but you might also look at Letterhead fonts.
Their victorian category on the right doesn't really show everything that you might consider "victorian-influenced", just scan the entire list:

Might want to check out Dieter Steffmann and Paul J. Lloyd on the typOasis. As I recall, both have redrawn some period faces.
