I'd tend to confirm your intuition about Helvetica. Looks like Helvetica Condensed Black Oblique to me...

Hi, thanks for taking a look, though I'm incline to think the 'S' is more like a STANDARD CT Cond Bd.
(The italicised look is just the angle created for the 3d text).
