Trying to help a friend recreate his former restaurant logo. He wants to bring life back into it marketing a line of Spice Rubs. He closed his restaurant about 8 years ago after about a 10 year run. I hope that gives a bit of a timeline as to when it was created.

That sure looks like hand-made artistry - the two 'B's are different, as are the 'i's. However, the R, Q, and c are very similar to those in Curlz (probably drawn on for inspiration!), and overall it could be based on any number of typefaces. You might look at the offerings of
