Very bold (slightly rounded) – grotesque?

This was featured in the book 'Visible Signs'by David Crow but not referenced.

Comments

Vernacular, in the sense of an amateur trying to make a sign. The rounded corners are probably caused by or accentuated by (multiple) mediocre reproduction(s).

It's monospaced -- it may have been made using paper stencils bought at the hardware store.

This may shed a little more light – here is the whole typeface as it appeared in the book.

Thank you skyfein & riccard0 – big help.
