"Catalog design" lettering of the Ladislav Sutnar book from 1944

Hi everyone,
I'm trying to find out more about this lettering (please have a look at the jpg attached).
The sample provided is taken from the cover of “Catalog design” by Ladislav Sutnar, 1944 (New York: Sweet’s Catalog Service). 20.8 x 14.8 cm
The scan is out of the book "Active Literature - Jan Tschichold and New Typography" by Christopher Burke, Hyphen Press, London, 2007
Any more information about this lettering would be helpful, espcially about digital redrawings etc.
