Any help identifying this font (or a similar font!!!) would be much appreciated. I'm about to pull my hair out.

All three Es are different, so chances are very good that it’s hand-lettering, probably based on a typeface from a small American foundry, anywhere from 1870 or so to 1900...

The timeframe is right, and I thought hand made. This was foil stamped into a cloth book cover.
