Looking for serious typeface that evokes happiness as well

Forums:

As usual, a client that just says feelings and nothing more concrete than what I am looking for.

For a food chain, family-oriented / "for the crowd" kind of demographic, and I guess it will be in a certain shade of red (like ketchup.) Its commercial advertisments are usually depicting joy when being inside the establishment or patronizing their merchandise.

Can anyone suggest? I am more leaning towards san serif typefaces since it is a tagline of sorts (can't say the tagline really, but something that in service with joy.)

Any help, guide and/or suggestions would be much appreciated!

How can I manage this weird typographic palette?

Hello everybody,

I've been reading a lot about typefaces and how different kinds can be combined in order to create layers of meaning. Type foundries usually suggest pairings for their own fonts, most notably Hoefler & Frere Jones and Font Bureau. I am looking to create an unusual mix of moods for a personal branding project:

- Hearty, friendly
- Weird, quirky
- Contemplative, dramatic

You can think of this mix as the equivalent of a Wes Anderson, Sylvain Chomet, or even a Spike Jonze film. Sort of like what film critic Peter Rainer writes about Spike Jonze's film, Being John Malkovich:
“It is hard to mix moods -- the film is manic, subtle, comic and vaguely sad -- but [Jonze] does it masterfully.”

logo mock ups for investment company, I d be grateful for feedbacks, thx!

Hi everyone,

I am making a logo for a friend who is starting a business in investment consultancy. They are two partners. Young people, smart and openmined.

They wanted to get dynamic, modern but serious looking at the same time. Also trustworthy with elegant or luxurious touch. They don t want any tag line explaining the business which I think is a shame.

Def. not an easy task. I ve been busy with it for 3 weeks. All should be ready in a week and I am just stuck with too many ideas! All is explained in the entouchments. Thank you for feedback! A d really appretiate it.

Kristin

some uppercase serif available only

I would like to do a facelift for this logo type and need to know which font was used. New Times Roman (unfortunately) get fairly close, but not quite there, terminal of the upper case J is different, as are the proportions of upper case O and E. I only have this very small JPG available for indetification.
