Hello everyone,

This is my first post and I am wondering if anyone who has a little bit more knowledge than myself can help me out. I am working on a packaging project just now which the brand is using Browns as it's main typeface. On the package we have designed it to support multiple different typeface on the front and the back of the package.

I need a typeface that is similar to Browns but can be used in the following languages: German, Spanish, French, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Russian, Slovenian and Turkish.

Thanks,
Kyle.

FF Tisa Web Pro

Hi, there, i would like to know if FF Tisa Web Pro can be used on wordpress?

Hello guys, here I'm asking for your help to make my font project
Tweegi a reality. Tweegi is a super condensed fonts with two
variables regular and italic, it has a 600+ character set, with regular
and discretionary ligatures, alternate characters, complete set of
numbers, small caps and it covers 105 latin alphabets. The best of this
is that if I can reach the funding goal, it will be free for everyone
to use as they like.

So please check it out and help me spread the word, every help
will be appreciated.

Hi,

why is – in most fonts – the backslash more slanted than the "regular" slash? Is there any reason?

I would like to know what specific typefaces were used on cigarette advertising posters back in the 1950's and 1960's.
I'm aware of particular styles from those decades but cannot pinpoint too many exact typefaces used.

Hey there!

I'm a new and learning designer just taking my first typography class. It is something I am really enjoying.
As part of my class, I was assigned a typeface to study and do research on and present as my final project. The face I was given is "Filosophia." It is a beautiful one and I know it was developed by Zuzana Licko of Emigre Fonts in the 1990's. I also know that it was inspired by the classic "Bodoni." Outside of that, I have found very little information on Filosphia itself.

Does anyone know of any books that include information about it or its history? Are there any groups, or communities dedicated to Filosophia? How about any valid websites?

Thanks for the help!

site in search of an answer. I have been using Illustrator and Photoshop
trying to create 3D typography and it seems to not be going in the right
direction. Can anyone tell me what programs were used to create text like

font pairing help???

What is a good serif font to pair with Futura? I'm using Futura Std Heavy/Bold to be more specific. I've been on the website typeconnection.com and it says that ITC Century is a good one but I'm not sure yet if that's the best right now. Does anyone have any suggestions? Preferably fonts that could be found on the Adobe Font Folio Package because that's what I have access to.

Howdy folk, we're launching an on-screen design studio.
The approach was to keep a friendly, approachable spin while having something that could play nicely in more serious/sensible surrounds.

Appreciate thoughts and feedback on letter shape/weighting.

Would also love some typeface recommends to sit with it.
Our current view sees some contrasting pairs used, i.e, VAG and Corona

Any and all welcome and appreciated.

I made this introduction to typography website a couple weeks back for a class project. I wanted to give the basics of type in a super dumbed-down way. What do you guys think?

Hi There,

I've got a brief to make a small book/booklet in the style of a "Dockers Workbook" celebrating one man (union leader Walt Cunningham's) life on the docks of Hull between 1950's-1980's.

i have been looking everywhere for a nice clear legible serif typeface to use for my body copy , i found one that i loved FF Scala Pro Regular http://www.fontshop.com/fonts/downloads/fontfont/ff_scala_pro/ it works n perfectly with the ethos of my type having been use in books depicting democratic revolutions/movements and in Museum booklets. The elegance of this typeface is exactly what i need but don't have the € 299.00 to purchase it on a student's income.

SWISSTED - flyers into international typographic style posters.
Using Berthold Akzidenz-grotesk Medium (not Helvetica).

Hello everyone. I am a novice in type design aiming on making a serif (and if possible, a sans-serif companion) type system aimed at newspaper use. I am still in development, and I am looking at some other fonts that look great on print.

Hello all,

I have a Web/Graphic Design startup I am working on and I have 3 logos I have come down to choosing. The name of the company is NE Elements, which is a play on the word any, so its really "Any Elements." The point being we use the elements of man to design things. Please look at the 3 logos posted in black and white and pick the one you like. I haven't designed any with color yet, and will move on with that once I choose a logo. Thanks all for your help. Feedback is very welcome.

Perpetua(l) distress!

Hi everyone!
This is my first post on this forum, and i really really needed some advice.

My client has a logo already designed using Perpetua (for the main logo type). I need a matching serif and sans serif font to use for the stationary and subsequent collaterals.... and i didn't really want to use Perpetua (i dont like it very much, its so stuffy and old). i know an obvious choice would be Gill sans, but i don't like that font very much either (something about the question mark annoys me)

please help! i've been wracking my brains staring at my screen for hours.

thanks in advance
