Logo for singing teacher

Hello!

This is my first post here. I've been reading the critiques on this forum, and you guys are really good at this, so I thought I'd post this
piece to see if you can help me with some feedback.

This is a logo for a singer, the name is in swedish - vocal studio. Her wishes were; simple, formal, readable, fairly minimalistic without frills. I took inspiration from geometric sans fonts like avenir, century gothic and futura, and fitted a coloured whole note into it.

Any thoughts on the letters, color and overall impression?

Thesis topic

Hello!

I am a Graphic Design student and I am making my 3rd attempt to write a thesis. By writing here, I consider myself desperate, because I cannot find a topic for my thesis. The only thing I clarified for myself is that I am interested in typography and calligraphy. And writing a thesis on these topics could help me to use what I've learned in my future projects.
Although I am reading everywhere in attempt to find something which would excite me, I am at a dead end.
So I am asking for your help.

I have in mind some questions, but I am wondering if they could evolve into a thesis argument:

1. Which are the limits of calligraphy?
2. What's the connection between typography/calligraphy and music?

Baroque Choir logo

I recently designed a logo for the choir sing in. It's a Baroque choir, performing Baroque and classical pieces. A little background: The mark is based on a characteristic of Baroque music being a repetition of melodic themes. I used this idea of repetition by mirroring 2 shapes to form an /A/ and /M/ for Arte Musica (did I mention it's a mostly Italian choir). The four repeated dots represent the 4 voices soprano, alto, tenor, base. I wanted the over all form language to evoke musical notation. I think it might need some tweaks but I thought I'd put it out there. Any constructive feedback is welcomed.

Typefaces in traditional music scores

I'd like to know the background from the typefaces used in (hand engraved) music scores. I have looked at the text faces for setting titles, lyrics, tempi and dynamics. Music symbols is another interesting subject, since there is a great decline in typographical standards when comparing computer scores to traditional scores. There is no digital music symbol font that I know of that has attention to all the details that you would find in an engraved score.

Need help identifying Dance Pollution's Logo Font.

Okay I have been searching all over the net now and I just can't find this font... The font is from "Dance Pollution" a record label founded in 1995. I Think they started using this font around 2000-2001.

It looks like the text was stroked in illustrator so I posted the original and a inverted version.

Music Festival Line-Up Poster Fonts

Looking for three fonts from these images. From Reading (the yellow one), the font that 'AUGUST BANK HOLIDAY WEEKEND' is written in, plus the one used for band names (not the ones that have their own logo, obviously - ones like Deftones, Jimmy Eat World etc). From Download (the black one), the font used for 'MAVERICK_AC'.

I like making fake posters with line-up predictions, and want to make them as realistic as possible using the correct fonts and everything. Had trouble finding a good match though, I'm a bit of a noob at typography...
