Capitolium 2 Small Caps

Forums:

Gerard Unger's multi-award winning typeface now features small caps in all of its styles. After the release of Capitolium 2 and Capitolium News 2, which take advantage of OpenType possibilities and feature a broader language coverage –including accents for northern and central Europe languages– editorial designers from around the globe started to ask for small cap support... You asked for it, we deliver!

Typeface Distinguishing characters

Hi all, just hoping you could help me out here.

I'm making a type specimen book for my sophomore portfolio review and I'm trying to find distinguishing characters for twenty typefaces. I've been having some trouble finding information on some of the typefaces, so I turn it to you. I need at least 5 distinguishing characters for each, preferably in Roman or Regular, and why they distinguish the typeface. I'm thinking that I'm going to use Q in all of my designs, because almost every Q is different and special. I just need help with the why it is special and wording it appropriately.

Typefaces I still need information for:
ITC Cheltenham
Berkeley Oldstyle
Interstate
Minion

Which typeface is used for Flickr tags?

Hi Everybody,

This is my first post here and write with high hopes.

Would anyone here know and/or recognize the typeface that is used for Flickr tags? I've inserted two images which show the tags. The first one is a close-up and the second one has the tags on the bottom right hand corner.

Thank You

Looking for typeface suggestions

Forums:

Hello

I'm looking for a rich feeling, classy looking typeface for a men's online buying guide publication. Perhaps something with a serif, although I'm not partial. I have seen ITC Lubalin Graph Demi used elsewhere, and it looks great. We would like to not copy them, however similar recommendations are welcomed.

Your recommendations are much appreciated.

Thank you.

ID: Times New Roman like Font, different C and E

Trying to identify this typeface. Originally considered it as a possibility for Times New Roman, but the "E" and "C" are distinctly different. The rest of the letters are so close to Times New Roman though, so I was wondering if it's possibly a variant of.

Sign is from some outlet store at a mall.
Thank you fo any help you can give!

Is Euclid inspired by Dessau?

Having a conversation on twitter.

This morning I was having a conversation with the foundry Swiss Typefaces (@swisstypefaces). They are in the process of designing a typeface called Euclid.

I responded asking them if it was inspired by the Dessau series of typefaces.

They responded “no.”

I was particularly interested in the similarities between the [&] and [a] in Dessau Pro Zukunft.

I’ll let you decide:

What typeface would represent the GG Bridge?

Forums:

The Golden Gate Bridge just celebrated its 75th anniversary. I was wondering what typeface would best represent it.
Some attributes to think about…
-Built in 1937
-American Design
-Bridge Style: Art Deco / Modern

I am leaning towards:
-Broadway
-Gill Sans
-Franklin Gothic
-Din
-Bank Gothic

I would appreciate any thoughts.

Novo Typo - Caren

Forums:

Novo Typo recently designed the corporate identity of the largest women-organisation in The Netherlands; Vrouwen van Nu. An important part of the design is the custom-made typeface 'Caren', a font which we created especially for 'Vrouwen van Nu'.

Caren is a remarkable and playful font, which gives the organization a fresh and modern look and feel. The typeface is a happy mixture between uni-, upper-, and lowercase principals. It is an invitation for all designers and non-designers to play around with text and design.

Sans Serif on-screen type system suggestions welcome

Forums:

I'm looking for suggestions for a headline and body typeface system of one or two max typefaces that will pair well on-screen with an existing logo that uses very tightly kerned Trebuchet. Aiming for elegance, readability and approachable in the high-tech zone. All suggestions are very appreciated. Thank you.

Typeface Recommendation to Mix with "Shelby"

Forums:

Hey,

I'm working on a logo for a pop duo band - "Mary and Liv." I was planning on putting "Liv" in Shelby because I love the "L" of that typeface but not so much the "M." I'm not asking you to design this logo for me at all, just looking to see if anyone had a typeface recommendation. :)
