beer

As in, the beverage.

Alphabet Soup Type Founders and Michael Doret are proud to announce the Release of Dark Angel, a “blackletter/hybrid” font. This font had its genesis in a logo sketch for the Anaheim Angels baseball team—thus its name.
Type purists may be appalled by the lack of adherence to traditional forms, but the font should be seen as only “in the spirit of” blackletter, and attempting something that hasn’t been seen or done before—something that feels traditional, yet at the same time fresh and perhaps unexpected.

new typeface in budweiser ads.

Sidenote, I love how they launch a huge made in america campaign and the 'great american lager' campaign as soon as the company was sold to sweden. lol

Tuesday Feb 1st is the first Tuesday of the month, so it's time for a social evening with your fellow Portland typophiles! Not all discussions have to be about fonts and typography, but it would be good if everyone was at least willing to have such discussions. :)

This is our third Portland Type Tuesday, I think. We may soon be too many for this location, but they have a great Imperial Stout on tap, so we're back again at:

Migration Brewing
2828 NE Glisan St.
Portland OR 97232

7 pm Tuesday.

I'll be the fellow with the green hat and red mad scientist glasses. Hope we see you there!

Type Tuesday tomorrow evening in Portland OR!
http://www.thomasphinney.com/2010/12/type-tuesday-in-portland-oregon/

Trying to get together a few local Portland type types for the first time. Kinda short notice, but what the heck? Come out and have a drink or a snack and talk type with me.

I have two ID requests from a beer container. On the top, "Refined Pleasure," a wide (perhaps artificially extended?) connecting script with dual-stroke caps. Below, "PRIMA" set in a geometric sans with pointed bowls on the P and R. The top script I'm sure is a font, but the geometric sans could be custom. (The other typefaces on the box and bottle include Copperplate Gothic, Berthold Boulevard, Arquitectura, and Futura Condensed.) Thanks in advance!

Beer typeface ?

Anyone know of good beer script ? One that conveys a sense of old european well crafted beer or an abby or sainthood?

I'm primarily looking for feedback on name legibility at this point. Being that the type is hand drawn, and the word is uncommon, I'm worried about the viewer's ability to pick up the name. How well does it read, and what do you read? Any feedback would be appreciated.

Cheers,

Jim

holsten beer logo font?

Hello,

What font is used to write HOLSTEN? Or big customization is used there?

Thanks in advance.

Ž.

Dear Typophiles,

Can you help me identify the font used for the word LIMFJORDS·PORTER on the attached picture? The beer is my absolute favorite. The kerning on the label looks a bit odd, but the taste (of the beer, not the label) is top-notch.

Best regards,
Emil Hedevang

anyone know what the font is for the Hamm's logo, might be hand drawn, and/or the headline font from the print ads? see attached.
thanks, liz

Hi fellow Typophiles. I was looking through some old vintage labels on eBay and I found this one below. The listing says "old brewery stock" Tivoli Brewing Company original Mile Hi beer bottle label.

I was wondering if anyone here would know what font is being used for "Mile Hi".

Thanks :)

hey all, looking for fonts similar to both the newcastle brown ale and stella artois typefaces...the caps used in the main brand text.

any help is appreciated. thanks!

I need help with this one. Thanks in advanced!

Ken Bessie, Lex Kominek, and I had the second Calgary Typophile meet-up last night at a conveniently located pub, where we were faced with the sign below.

Much to the amusement of the other people with whom we were sharing a table, we tried, unsuccessfully, to identify this face: heck, it even stumped Lex! (No, we hadn't had that many beers either.)

Apart from the fact that the kerning leaves a fair bit to be desired (and what's with those periods?), would someone else like to take a stab at this one?

(And if you're in Calgary and want to come along to the next event, ask one of us for details.)
