The Brand Perfect Tour London – Adventures in Retail is back in town for the third time. This Think Tank and Master Class will be held at the Royal Society of the Arts (RSA) on 11th October and will address the issues retailers are facing when attempting to create and deliver multi-channel experiences. Delegates will discover how brands such as John Lewis and McDonald's are faring in an increasingly technology driven environment, where they have found success and the challenges they have faced.
I'm working on a project that will require me to replicate the fonts used in the above supermarket logos. I've tried, and failed to locate any suitable matches. I'm told that they are probably proprietary fonts based off of modified versions of existing fonts. Even having a closely matched font would be extremely useful.
I can't divulge too much about the project, tho I can say that it will be a comedy website with more than a little tongue in cheek humor aimed at these retailers. I'm telling you this in the hopes that former employees of the companies may come forward with enthusiasm!
Greater Albion has just released three new families on Myfonts.com.
Jonquin was inspired by some hand lettering seen on a World -War One recruiting poster. It’s a family of three faces for display work and headings designed to be used readily as an 'All-Capitals' face as well as in upper and lower case format. Regular and bold weights are offered, as well as an even more decorative incised form. The whole family is ideally suited for poster and advertising work, as well as book and record covers and period themed signage.
