help

I just KNOW I've seen this font before but can't for the life of me ID it. Help!

My first post!

I'm designing a business card for a mobile pet grooming business and they asked me to include this font. I'm 99 percent sure I've seen it before, I've tried WhatTheFont and other font search tools but so far no cigarette.

I yield to the powers of the internet's hive mind now...

Your help is much appreciated. :)

Peaces,

Please help me identify this font!

I've been trying to find this font all day because this picture is too small and I can't make it bigger without it stretching so I'm just going to recreate the logo but I need to find the font to do that. I'm aware that it's blurry but I think you can still get a gist of what the font looks like.

It says "Just Cleaning USA"

Need help with my first serif typeface

Forums:

Hi everyone!

This is my first attempt to get competent critique about my font. So please, Don’t beat me up too hard :)
I will be very appreciated about any critics and comments.
My first serif typeface I am trying to make a little bit retro, fashy, but contemporary.
It has 5 different serif shapes depending on the position of prominent parts of letters (maybe a little bit too complicated, but I like it).
I know there are still many things to work on and improve, but the main parts I am really not sure about are sharp ends of stems. The stems are the only parts without any serifs and I guess it makes the whole face unusual.
Please look at PDF files attached below.

Filosophia history

Hey there!

I'm a new and learning designer just taking my first typography class. It is something I am really enjoying.
As part of my class, I was assigned a typeface to study and do research on and present as my final project. The face I was given is "Filosophia." It is a beautiful one and I know it was developed by Zuzana Licko of Emigre Fonts in the 1990's. I also know that it was inspired by the classic "Bodoni." Outside of that, I have found very little information on Filosphia itself.

Does anyone know of any books that include information about it or its history? Are there any groups, or communities dedicated to Filosophia? How about any valid websites?

Thanks for the help!

Typographic hierarchy

Hey guys!
Im new at typography and like some pointers!

I am making a book about banknote design and im wondering about the seperation of the body text. After the copy header (or what do you call it) there is also a space on the right side, automatically added by indesign. Is this decent typography or should i try to align the right row with the top of the body header?

This is one big text box by the way with paragraph styles.

Thank you,
Alexander

Types in Logo - Client request but not sure it's a good one...

Hi all,

I'm designing a logo for a client who has requested two different fonts. I'm not a fan of either, but I don't think they go well together either. But i'm not sure. What do you guys think? What should I recommend? Any other font you'd recommend instead?

He's requested two options:

Mongolian Baiti with Copperplate Gothic Bold

or

Felix Titling with Copperplate Gothic Bold

University logo - serif

I am trying to find out what font this is! (obviously)

I've attached the full logo and a close up of "university" for extra reference. I know that some of the letters such as the 'R' in Washburn have been altered. I am wondering if this font was specially designed for the logo? I can't find it anywhere.

Thanks in advance!

Looking for typeface suggestions

Forums:

Hello

I'm looking for a rich feeling, classy looking typeface for a men's online buying guide publication. Perhaps something with a serif, although I'm not partial. I have seen ITC Lubalin Graph Demi used elsewhere, and it looks great. We would like to not copy them, however similar recommendations are welcomed.

Your recommendations are much appreciated.

Thank you.

Perpetua(l) distress!

Forums:

Hi everyone!
This is my first post on this forum, and i really really needed some advice.

My client has a logo already designed using Perpetua (for the main logo type). I need a matching serif and sans serif font to use for the stationary and subsequent collaterals.... and i didn't really want to use Perpetua (i dont like it very much, its so stuffy and old). i know an obvious choice would be Gill sans, but i don't like that font very much either (something about the question mark annoys me)

please help! i've been wracking my brains staring at my screen for hours.

thanks in advance
