Generating

I've added cyrillic characters to one of my opentype truetype fonts. This is my first time designing anything beyond Latin 1. How do I generate it in fontlab so that the cyrillic characters are included? These are the questions that I have:

in Font Info>
Encoding and Unicode> I already have 1252 Latin 1 and Macintosh Character Set added here, I'm guessing add 1251 Cyrillic?
What about the Microsoft Character Set drop down menu? Do I leave that Western (Latin 1)?
What about the Mac script and FOND ID drop down menu? Do I leave that as Roman?

in Font Info>
Encoding and Unicode> Custom [cmap] encodings> Do I add anything here?

in Font Info>
Encoding and Unicode> Unicode Ranges> I'm guessing I check Basic Latin, Latin-1 Supplement and then Cyrillic?

Hello,

After generating my font I try it in MS Word and all of descenders and ascenders of font are cut off.
This strange effect have place in big sizes as 72pt etc.
As I understand the problem goes to font info but... settings is standart. Maybe the cause is font unicase and something wrong with value of Cap-height or x-height?..

Best regards,
R.

Working on generating an OpenType PS font. Been troubleshooting this for over a week. Tried deleting all the classes and features then generating an OpenType PS font. It still gives me, "ERROR: There was a problem while compiling OpenType font. Final .otf font is not saved. Please, check OpenType features definition for errors." Reading through the manual, but still sure of the best way to proceed with troubleshooting – not clear on what to check or where the problem might lie. Thank you for any help.

I'm trying to generate a font so I can layout a decent proofing sheet. Two problems:

I am able to generate a Win TrueType/OpenType TT file, but when I try OpenType PS, it gives me this message: "ERROR: There was a problem while compiling OpenType font. Final .otf font is not saved. Please, check OpenType features definition for errors." Does anyone know what this is referring to? I looked through the fonts features panel, but didn't see any red flags. Feel like I'm missing something on how to preflight these files before generating.
