Does anyone have a recommendation for a Webfont equivalent for Hoefler & Frere-Jones' Verlag typeface? Right now I have looked at Brandon Grotesque and Futura — yet I haven't found anything quite close.
I am designing the latest issue of one of my magazines. The font we use is Kepler as headings and body copy mixed with Verlag as title headings. I am not loving the font Kepler and want to change it but not too dramatically - any advice much appreciated on which alternative font I could use that would mix well with Verlag. I have looked at Farnham but fear it may be too trendy for the magazine. It is a womans magazine, but for the older generation.
Thanks in advance
I'm building a website in which I decided to use Verlag for titles (they are all png images) and Mercury for texts. I thought to use web font services like Typotheque, FontDeck, TypeKit or Google Web Fonts (that is free!), but I found out that none of these supports Mercury.
Which alternatives do you suggest? I would like a very contemporary font and I also like Mercury's geometry (for example the fact that the horizontal serifs are flat and not tapered).
Thank you very much in advance.
