Mobile gen & the serif font

Most mobile devices default to sans serif. Helvetica Neue, Roboto, and San Francisco, etc.?

That omnipresence must be having an impact on app designers?

Doesn't it feel like those letters were a forerunner to Herb Lubalin's Serif Gothic? Well, except for the swashy ones that is ;) The E,L and I are almost dead ringers...

I first became aware of Morris through a mention from Wright (Frank Lloyd) something to do with the Arts & Crafts movement ...but I read that Morris was a lot more than associated with textiles...

Fallon's humor is brilliant, but to bad the typography for his run with The Tonight Show ain't fun at all. It's rather lame, limp and stale ...failing flat.
